Counting The Cost

the joy of the adventure
the fear of the unknown
hellos
goodbyes
making new friends
leaving behind the old
changing jobs
changing time zones
getting rid of the unnecessary
fitting the rest in
watching the boys explore a new world
but realizing they will miss the only world they have known
communicating clearly
understanding nothing
feeling confident
being okay with the mistakes


counting the cost
repeating the benefits
letting go of fear
to the one who is faithful
putting aside uncertainty
to trust the one who knows it all
realizing that the cost
is nothing compared to Him
to gave it all up
for me
